First Nations Co-Design, Environmental Graphics
Located on Quandamooka Country, Cleveland QLD and working in collaboration with local artist and Quandamooka woman Delvene Cockatoo Collins we developed her artwork to create experiential graphics for use throughout the mall from wallpaper, ceiling features and furniture upholstery.
“It’s a feeling of gentleness throughout the shopping centre, it hugs you as you walk through. The team at i2C interpreted my work better than I could have imagined, my art has been protected and my work has been valued in that space – I always love working in a great team.”
- Delvene Cockatoo Collins
The bringing together of the design intent from the Interior team, along with retaining the intentions of Delvene’s art, ensured the environmental graphics truly integrate seamlessly, provide a beautiful experience for visitors.
The circular seating areas provide privacy and a resting place, which Delvene said translates to ‘You are welcome, you are invited, you can sit down and rest.’
