Brand Identity, Marketing Collateral, Signage and Environmental Graphics
The Aurora Ball is a vibrant celebration of community, bringing together allies and friends to raise essential funds for our grants program, that support and empower LGBTQIA+ not-for-profit organisations, initiatives and leaders. It’s a night filled with joy, connection, and fun!
Working in collaboration with the Aurora (now Rainbow Giving Australia) team, I created the event identity and collateral to support the annual ball’s theme.
The theme for 2024 was the Mirror Ball, reflecting on 25 years. This theme took the route of creating a compelling identity that would support the telling of 25 years worth of histories, stories and experiences.
To deliver this theme, I explored reflective materials, creating a custom graphic device that had subtle details reflecting the Aurora brand through red highlights. The playful logo took on a modern serif font with plenty of movement and personality, much like the ball itself. Supporting foils in production and consideration to the lighting plan for the event ensured the designs sat harmoniously in the environment and didn’t fight the room aesthetics.
Collateral and assets delivered for the event itself included logo, key imagery, and brand assets and guidelines, along with mirror decals, digital graphics, signage, marketing collateral and event environmental graphics.
