The Metamorphosis Ball.

Brand Identity, Marketing Collateral, Signage and Environmental Graphics

 
 

The Aurora Ball is a vibrant celebration of community, bringing together allies and friends to raise essential funds for our grants program, that support and empower LGBTQIA+ not-for-profit organisations, initiatives and leaders. It’s a night filled with joy, connection, and fun!

 
 
 

Working in collaboration with the Aurora (now Rainbow Giving Australia) team and contemporary Australian artist Matthew Aberline, I created the event identity and collateral to support the annual ball’s theme.

The theme for 2022 was Metamorphosis which was a direct response to re-entering the real world post Covid 19 lockdowns. The theme centered around the the shedding of the old and the magic of the new. Unsurprisingly, the theme hinged on butterfly motifs and the bright colourful stages after the time spent in the chrysalis.

To deliver this theme, I worked closely with a digtial designer to develop a key graphic; a jeweled, sparkling chrysalis. Used for early marketing, the graphic hinted to the bight, colourful ball to come.

Collateral and assets delivered for the event itself included logo and brand assets and guidelines, along with digital graphics, signage, marketing collateral and event environmental graphics.
