Wayfinding and Signage Strategy
The Food Innovation Precinct Western Australia includes a research and development facility, production building and innovation centre which will house agrifood research and development experts, innovative start-ups, business services related to trade and markets and a one stop common use food technology facility.
The key concept for the FIPWA’s signage strategy was pulled directly from the industrial, farm heritage and materiality of the architecture, anchored in place by the local Country. Through materiality choices and the intention of using recycled materials from the construction period, in collaboration with my team, we developed a signage package that responded to the complex sight and various users through simple identifiers and a clear strategy.
